Dr. Mashburn
Dr. Emily Mashburn was born and raised in North Carolina. She graduated from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Dr. Mashburn enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, particularly internal medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, wellness/preventative care, and comfort care for geriatric patients. She especially loves building lasting relationships with the pets that she treats as well as their owners. When she is not at work, you can find Dr. Mashburn spending time with her husband and three kids, working out, reading, or watching TV. Her family has two cats (Steve and Carlton) and an American Staffordshire Terrier named Bridget.
Amanda
Amanda has been working in the veterinary field for 11 years as a veterinary assistant with small companion animals. Amanda received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in May 2012 from NC State University. She has always had a passion for animals, particularly senior pets and cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her German Shepherd mix named Wufie, who was a rescue dog. When she’s not helping animals in need, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new food, going to the beach, and doing crafts.
Jacquee
Jacquee has been working in the field of veterinary medicine since the summer of 2021. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Psychology in 2014 and a Master’s of Clinical Psychology in 2020. After watching her beloved dog Pepper struggle with arthritis during her final years, Jacquee developed a special interest in improving the comfort and quality of life for our aging pets. Jacquee has four cats named Chief, Poppy, Violet, and “Dini” (short for Houdini), as well as a rescued German Shepherd named Nandor the Relentless. Outside of work, Jacquee enjoys relaxing with her pets, cooking for her loved ones, reading mysteries, and solving logic puzzles!
Sarah
Sarah has been working in the veterinary field since 2006. Born and raised in North Carolina, she graduated from NC State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. She has always had a passion for working with animals and has a particular interest in all things surgery and dentistry. Sarah has two cats named Kit and Boodles and one English bulldog named Kenobi. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, watching movies, attending music concerts, and building Lego sets.
Sue
Sue is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who joined the team in March of 2024. She loves the fast-paced environment of being a technician and the variety of tasks that must be performed with each patient. She enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of not only the animals but their owners. Although she loves all animals , cats are her passion as she lives with 4 of them, Jerry, Newman, Cosmo and Cub . Outside of work you will usually find Sue hiking or kayaking with friends.
Kaelyn
Kaelyn has been working in the veterinary field since 2016. Born and raised in Raleigh, she graduated from NC State University in 2021 with a concentration in Veterinary Bioscience. She has lots of experience with small animals but also enjoys working with exotic animals such as turtles and dolphins. Kaelyn enjoys everything surgery and ultrasonography. When she’s not at work, she loves reading and creative writing, traveling, and spending time with her kitty, Rayna. Kaelyn will be starting veterinary school at NC State University in the fall of 2024, but is planning to work with us during her breaks from school.
